La vall del riu Shenandoah acull cada any fins a tres ‘Demolition Derbies’ on els participants estimben deliberadament els seus vehicles per destrossar els dels oponents. Festes de destrucció amb molta olor de gasolina que no són estranyes a l’Amèrica més rural.

Els ‘Derbies’ són perillosos, però les lesions greus no són freqüents a la pista enfangada on el conductor amb l’últim cotxe en funcionament rep el premi en metàl·lic. Cada octubre centenars de participants es troben a la població de Woodstock, Virginia, en el ‘Chaos in the Valley’, el ‘Derby’ més important a la vall del Shenandoah.

The Shenandoah Valley hosts up to three ‘Demolition Derbies’ each year in which the participants deliberately ram their vehicles to destroy those of the opponents. Feasts of destruction with a big smell of gasoline that are not strange in rural America.

‘Derbies’ are dangerous, but serious injuries are not frequent on the muddy track where the driver with the last car in operation receives the cash prize. Every October hundreds of participants are cited in the town of Woodstock, Virginia, in the ‘Chaos in the Valley’, the most important ‘Derby’ at the Shenandoah Valley.
